Using Word 2003
How do I make styles available in all documents through Normal.dot?
The answer in the HELP does NOT work. I select the style in the right side
of the Organizer and copy it over to the left side - to be added to the
Normal.dot and Close. But when I open a new document or another document,
the new styles do NOT appear in the available styles.

The styles in Normal.dot are available only to documents based on
Normal.dot. If you base a document on another template, it will use the
styles from that template.

Hi Suzanne,

Thank you for your answer. The documents I use are all based on the
Normal.dot template - but none of them reveal the styles I have copied over
to the Normal.dot template. Thanks for trying.

Do they appear in All Styles? Or in the Styles dropdown if you press Shift
while clicking the arrow? Do you have Acrobat 7 installed?

Also, in all versions I have used the styles of the current document are on the left, and those of Normal.dot on the right (if you don't specify anything else). Are you sure you copied them *to* Normal dot?

Regards,
Klaus
