Make McAfee Go Away

How can I get rid of this pesky program? It won't uninstall
itself, I mean. Clicking on its components in Add/Remove
Programs is just ignored. Grrr!

If this is the wrong group, I apologize, but I don't see a
McAfee group listed separately.

Boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key and choosing Safe Mode in the
menu just before the Windows XP logo shows up. Once there, you should be
able to run Add/Remove Programs. Also, check McAfee's site for an uninstall
patch. Them and Norton are notorious for their programs not uninstalling
properly.
 
You are surprised that you don't see a McAfee group listed in the Microsoft
Newsgroups? Hmm!

Try going to www.mcafee.com and look around there in their support section.
