99% of the time I use search it's for files or folders, I would like to
make Windows open to the "Files or Folders" search option as the default
so I don't have to click on it every time. Is this possible?

I don't see that using <Win F> helps much as it brings up the same window
that clicking on Help does. I would like to have the default for the Look
In: box changed to C: as well as change the default mentioned by Mike
Scirocco. I'm sure it could be done with a little hacking at the Registry.
Anyone? ?

Your comment about the registry inspired me to look further. I found this:

No need to run any fix, there is a option in Search for this :
Start > Search > Click "Change preference" > Click "Files and folders search
behavior" > Select "Advanced-....." > OK > OK

Thank you, Ayush, for that pointer, and thank you, Mike, for that interesting
link. MS Tweak UI can switch between XP search and classic search. I doubt
if there's an easy way to change the default selection in the "Look In" box.
