Whatever I copy onto CD is "read on", but I want to be able to work with that
info. Some items, i.e. an address book, will not even open from the disc.
Got the message: "To open this file, remove the "read only" attribute. Refer
to your operating systmes "read only" file. Can't find the latter. How else
would I remove that attribute? (I'm using Windows XP).

All files burned to CDs are read-only, unless you're using
packet-writing software (Google it). The workaround is to copy the file
from the CD to your hard drive, do your edits, then burn it back to the CD.
