MAJOR XP Re-installation Problem

I was trying to re-install XP Home on my PC. Everything
was working ok till "Installation of Devices" process.
After this process, my PC automatically reboot, then
CheckDisk take please and once again it
start "Installation of Devices"..... This cycle goes on
forever...(More than 5 hrs.) No Error message. If I remove
CD, then I get message:
"The file asms on window XP CD-Rom is needed"
"Setup encountered an error while trying to set system
security - An extended error has occured"

I have tried to go back to last working windows
configuration, but it bring my PC back to above situation.

Any Help ?
 
It would be best if you physically disconnect all hardware
peripheral devices from your PC, except for your monitor,
keyboard and mouse.
