My computer had a bunch of adware and spyware i tried to get rid of them then
when i did it must of delete some of the programs that help run certain
programs. Currently my computer can't run anything, can't even open the all
programs in the start menu.. what do i do? do i reinstall windows XP????

Open a command window if possible and run 'sfc /scannow' without the
quotes, otherwise put the XP CD in and try a repair.

What did you use to get rid of the spyware and adware? Some of the
so-called spyware removal programs are actually spyware installers
that only add more instead of removing anything. And they often
report "false positives" so as to convince you that they are actually
doing something good.

Does the computer boot into Windows XP okay?

Can you get onto the Internet with it? If so then download, install,
update and run (it will put an icon on the desktop) AdAware (free)
from www.lavasoft.com (if this was not one of the programs that you
used previously). When it has finished scanning click on Next to see
the list of items it has found. Right-click on the list and choose
"Select all..." then click on next. Anything and everything that
AdAware finds is generally safe to delete, and it does make a backup
in case there is a problem (but I have never encountered one).

Good luck
