Major Problems with Computer after installing W xps2

I would so appreciate some advice on what to do. I have
had serious problems with my computer. I can't open
anything. I keep getting an error msg that says it can't
find it. To use the search to find the file. Everything
I do, it's not working. Mind you I'm not all that
computer techy. I have been so frustrated. I can't even
open up solitaire. If anyone has any advice on what to
do, please help. Going crazy in Canada.

You can run System File Checker tool to scan all of the

protected files on your computer:
Click Start > Run and type: CMD, and hit enter.
In the open box, type; sfc /scannow (including space) and
then click OK. Note
that you may be prompted to insert the Windows XP
installation CD disk to copy needed files from.

Can you try to do a system restore and go back to pre-SP2? I think that is
your best bet at this point until SP2 has been tested in the real world. If
you need help resotring, please post.
