I am stupid.
Now as that is settled, let me get to the problem. I had
directdraw and direct3d problems, while playing media
video files, none worked. I had to reduce hardware usage
and disable all of direct3d and some directdraw
compability as instructed in support docs.
Well sometimes all worked again. I concluded that it is
directx error, that was modified by some game or program
recently installed. I had no help using restore points.
Anyways, here comes the stupid part. I went into safe
mode, and unpacked one compiled directx9 zip that I got
(suggested by my buddy, to use when needing to reinstall).
That was unofficial thing not supported by MS of course.
Anyways, I unpacked it into my system, and restarted.
Conclusion is that my system did not run anymore.
It started loading XP, and after loading (before
the "Welcome" screen) it showed blue screen and crashed
straight after. With my digital camera I managed to
capture the text the blue screen said. It was regulat
failed startup screen, and also had an error:
*** STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000,
0x00000000)
I know that overwriting such system files is very
dangerous, but my stupid mind did it anyway. Any
assistance?
Addon, I cant run it in anyn modes, not even safe mode.
Can I boot using my Windows XP cd? Or any other tips?
I am desperate here...
