When I go into Maintenance and go to Clean up Now. it goes through the
process but doesn't erase anything. How do I get it to erase?

1. It is not a good idea to use a valid email address in these
newsgroups, they are picked up by spammers and used to send you junk. Go
to your settings and change the address you use in newsgroups to
something like (e-mail address removed) (Invalid sends the mail to an
internet black hole).

2. Maintenance will not delete anything in the deleted items folder if
that is what you were expecting. You can set Windows Mail to empty that
folder when you exit mail if you want. You can also right click on the
folder and empty it. Then your deleted mail gets "Flagged" for removal
in the next Clean up now session where it truly is removed. Until then
your deleted messages remain on the system but do so unseen and
inaccessible.

The "Delete" button only pertains to newsgroup messages. It will not delete
and e-mails, in any folder.
