i am currently working on word 2000

i have created a template for mailing labels using text boxes and pictures

if i want to do a mailing label mail merge how can i use my template? is it
something i specify when i carry out the mail merge, or is it something i
have to do in the creation of the template?

thanks for any help

If your document template is a Word table - then you can specify it when you
create a label merge. With your document open, from the mail-merge helper,
select the merge type as label at 1 and the data file at 2, then escape out
of the helper and insert the fields but see
http://www.gmayor.com/graphics_on_labels.htm
and
http://www.gmayor.com/mail_merge_graphics.htm

Text boxes containing merge fields are not recommended as Word may not see
them, use frames instead.
