Hi: In outlook 2000, I can not empty my deleted items folder. When I try, I
get an error telling me that Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to
close. Does anyone know the fix it for this, thanks

For Outlook 2000 in IMO mode, create a new PST (File>New>Personal Folders
File) and make it your delivery location by right-clicking its root and
selecting the option to make it the delivery location. For Outlook 2000 in
CW mode, create a new PST (File>New Personal Folders File) and make it your
delivery location on the Delivery tab of Tools>Services. IN either case,
once you've done this, close and restart Outlook and move everything (except
the contents of the Deleted Items folder) to the new PST from the old. When
the moving is done, close the old PST by right-clicking its root and
choosing Close. Stop Outlook and you can delete the old PST.
