Mail Stuck on Server

I am running Outlook Express and pulling mail from a POP3 server. For some
reason, some of the messages are stuck on the server. I got on the phone
with the people who provide the mail server space. They were able to send me
a message, see it on the server mailbox and then be pulled down to my
Outlook. They claim that it is an Outlook problem. Any suggestions?

I am also running McAfee. I disabled the Antispam with no change. I
disabled the Virus checking with no change.

Ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup. Outlook and Outlook Express are two
different applications.
 
I understand that they are two different products, but I do not see a group
for Outlook Express. Can you point me there?

You seem to be in a minority, in this newsgroup anyway. SYmantec's products
seem to cause more problems with Outlook than all others combined.
