Mail Notification Soubd Not Working

Nick Mercardante

All other sounds play within Outlook except the new mail notification. It is
set up through the sounds applet and worked in OE. I tried deleting the play
sound option in OE to see if it would then work in Outlook (2003 XP SP2) to
no avail. Would appreciate any help.
 
I'm having trouble too, I get a beep when I get new e-mail even though I set
up a sound file in the control panel
 
Unfortunately Google isn't really my friend, I've already tried this stuff to
no avail. Any other thougts?

Can't you follow the original flow of posting rather than jump up the top?
Posting out of order makes it harder to follow what has been going on.

Look at the first bit of that answer. It says your question has been asked
before. It then says to use google groups to find it- do you want others to
do that for you? And there is a link to one match, if that isn't what you
want then try variations of your search words, and don't forget to try the
microsoft.public.outlook group too.
