We have WinXP, with Off XP - Outlook 2002.

One of our users is having an issue with receveing new mail. It is set to
send/receive automatically from our Exchange server but he does not get the
notification or envelope in taskbar tray to indicate new mail until he clicks
on some other folder or opens up a previous read message.

Can someone help with this???

Thanks

Windows Firewall causes that. Go into firewall settings and make exception
for program outlook.exe

The firewall is blocking UDP packets. Add Outlook to its exception list or
add the registry setting that will cause Outlook to poll the server instead
of using UDP packets. See
