Mail messages

When I turn on my computer, on the wellcome screen there is a message: "owner
has 19 mail messages". Then when I click on the icon to log in, I go to
outlook and there is no messages. This count is getting higher and do not
know where this mail messages are. I have windows xp. Could someone help me?

Outlook does not update that number. Outlook Express and Windows (MSN)
Messenger do. Just turn the number off.
