mail merge

I am trying to create a directory in mail merge to use as a daily delivery route sheet. The problem is... that once it merges to new document, the edit recipient list doest change anything. In order for me to revise the daily route sheet, I would need to set up a new mail merge on a daily basis. Is there a way to keep only one main template and just edit the recipient list by check/uncheking?

You have to check/uncheck the recipients in the mail merge main document
each time before you complete the merge; you can't change the completed
merge.
