mail merge to email as attachment with general email body

I am using Mail Merge to email and want to know if I can have the form letter
be an attahment while i have a general comment in the body of the email. So
far I can only figure out how to choose to have the form letter as the body
of the email or as an attachment but not how to do any more than that.
