I am using mail merge with MS Word XP and Access XP to prepare a set of
letters.

Every so often, I want to save one of the letters as a specific letter to
one person with their name and address in the address block and greetings
block, but I want these details to be saved as native text, not attached to
the Access database.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? How can I save a letter to a particular
person, with their name and address, but not attached to the Access
database?

With thanks,

Gerry

I have a working sample that does this

....it is designed to merge ONE person to a word document, and the resulting
file has NO merge fields....

(so, you can save it..or email the word doc).

You can find the sample here:

If the above smampole works well for you...read hte note on teh web site...I
have step by step instucitosn on how to use this in YOUR applications..

I'm sorry I don't understand any of this. I see templates are involved -
something else in MS Word that is too hard to bother with.

Thanks anyway.

Gerry
