Mail Merge and Access

I am trying to mail merge to access db. For some reason, the data source
window does not show all my table and queries and the one I want to use is
not shown. Does anyone know what's up?

window does not show all my table and queries and the one I want to use is
not shown.
For mail merge, it's important you tell us which version of Word and Access
are involved. I would normally expect Access to show all the tables, if they
"belong" to you, or have been assigned sufficient permissions in a secured
database. As far as Queries go, mail merge cannot link to all kinds of
queries; mostly, it can only "see" normal SELECT queries. Can you discern any
kind of pattern for the items not appearing in the list?
