i just opened up a new account in Windows Mail and all my mail from my
regular email account (shaw.ca) was exported to Windows Mail. But i'm unable
to email or forward from the Windows Mail, how do I get the mail back to my
former email provider??

BOY, OH, BOY! I certainly hope there is a solution to that! I am having the
exact same problem, and I am about to pull all of my hair out!

I had no idea whatsoever that ALL of my e-mail would disappear from my
server when I opened a new Windows Mail account!

I posted about this earlier in the evening, but I haven't received a
definitive solution...I will be watching your post as well as mine.
Hopefully we will get an answer REALLY soon!

Good luck!

HeySSP, good to hear i'm not the only one out there with this!! I was floored
when all my mail disappeared, and if i can't email or forward, how the heck
am i supposed to move my mail back!! I hope that someone out there has an
answer for us!!
Good luck to you!!!

By default, a POP email program like Windows Mail will tell the
server to delete all mail from the server after downloading it.
You can change that default:
Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Advanced,
"Leave a copy of messages on server."

As for the ones that have already been removed from the server,
you can't send them back, unless you forward each message
individually (to yourself). If there are many messages, that would
be quite a task!
