Now some of my new mail is going to the Unread Mail folder in Search Files.
Why is it going there and not to my Inbox?
It only recently started doing that?

The Unread mail folder isn't an actual folder. it's a virtual folder that
looks across a variety of mail folders in your mailbox. Do you have any
rules setup to redirect certain messages to another folder?

I don't think that I do, although I am not positive. I have all incoming
mail being sent to Personal Folders.

In the Unread Mail search folder, you should be able to see what folder the
unread items are in... If you click onthe Arrange by heading, you can
arrange by Folder and see where the items are located.

to check for the existance of rules, go to Tools, Rules and Alerts.

Thank you. Right now I have no mail in the unread items so I can't see what
folder they are in.

I do not have any rules or alerts set up.
