Please Help Me!

As I was replying to an e-mail this AM, my computer started to delete
everything in my inbox. The only way to stop it was to turn off my machine.
I have lost approximately 40 e-mails, starting from today's. Why is this
happening and is there any way to get it back? I called MS support and was
on the phone with them for over 1.5 hours to have them ultimately tell me
tough luck. We tried everything, but cannot find them. They have to be
somewhere in my computer don't they?! I have Norton Recycle, but it can't
find them. Anyone else have this same issue or more importantly any answers?
I would not want this to happen again.

Thanks,
Esther

do you use exchange server? do you have autoarchive enabled?

If you start an advanced find in your in-box and specify one mail that you
know was there this morning, does it find it?

In addition, is this a work computer and are you using a Blackberry and have
delegates?

I have tried everything including the advance search with known e-mail. The
MS Outlook support had me do all the searches also without luck. This is my
personal computer and I do not use a Blackberry. I do have an iPAQ.

I don't use exchange server. I do have auto archive, but it always prompts
me before it happens. It is set to run every 14 days.
