Hi all,
I have a weird XP Home problem which came on after installing an
upgrade of Eudora. It reported it was unable to connect to my POP and
SMTP servers, and nor were other mail clients (OE,, Foxmail) when I
gave some a try. However ecery other aspect of my Net access is
working fine, and my spam killer (InboxCop) is able to read my POP
mailboxes without any problems. But my mail clients won't read them
even on localhost.
I uninstalled the Eudora upgrade, but didn't help. I then tried to
system restore, but none of my restore points will restore
successfully.
I tried reinstalling TCP/IP, but I'm not sure if that actually did
anything -- I've seen conflicting advice about how to do this. If it
did reinstall, it didn't help the problem.
Any thoughts / ideas?
best,
Mo

Have you checked your mail server settings inside the mail program? (In
O.E. it would be in Tools > Accounts - - not sure about Eudora). Sounds
like those server names are missing or incorrect. If you're not sure how to
check or what they should be, perhaps your ISP tech support can assist you.
