Hello,

For a couple of days I've had a weird situation in outlook 2003, whereas
there were 2 inbox files in the data file management. Outlook displayed all
messages without any problems, but it seems that new incoming messages were
being written to the other file, which exists but contains old messages
(2004). I've just reinstalled office and the problem was solved, one of the
inboxes has been removed from the file management. I have however not been
able to find the messages anywhere, in any of the .pst files, It had nothing
to do with rules or junk, that all worked fine. I simply could see messages
coming in when I went to the web server, then outlook would download them
and then it would seem like as if it had never been received, but still
deleted from the server. Any ideas where the messages could have gone?

Thanks!

Odd but do you have any filters on that could be obscuring the messages? Can
you use Advanced Find to try to find the messages in your folder tree?

Tried searchingt, but no luck.. I actually tried it on all .pst files..
I don't use filters, so that was easy to check. And it would indeed have
been quite odd for a filter to start blocking all mail from a certain date..
It really seems like the incoming data has been written somewhere else (or
nowhere even..)

Hate to ask but have you double checked for new PST files, possibly in
hidden directories?
