I've been using v2.94b9 with one mailbox. I created a second
mailbox and was expecting to be able to configure its own
filters, by turning off some of the filters I use in the
original mailbox. I assumed that this could be done by selecting
the new mailbox from the dropdown list in the filters dialog so
that its name appears in the mailbox field, and then uncheck
filters that I didn't want applied to it. When I uncheck the
second filter, the name of original mailbox suddenly appears in
the mailbox field. I reselected the new mailbox, but the
original mailbox name keeps appearing when I uncheck a filter.
The filters are applied the same way to both mailboxes as if I
selected *. I'd appreciate any help on how to configure separate
filters for each mailbox. BTW, I tried b10, but that version
caused problems with the friendslist with case sensitive e-mail
addresses.

No, it doesn't work this way. Firstly, the name shown in the mailbox
field is only linked to the currently selected filter. If you choose
another mailbox, it affects this filter and no one else. This is why
you see the name of your original mailbox reappear when you select
another filter.

Secondly, you should never uncheck a filter unless you want to
temporarily deactivate it, because when it is unchecked, it doesn't
work *at all*.

I suggest you select your filters one by one and verify *for each one*
the current content of the mailbox field. If it shows the name of your
original mailbox, the selected filter won't be applied to the new
mailbox. If it shows the '*' sign, the selected filter will work for
both mailboxes. To change the behavior of the selected filter, you just
have to choose the adequate target in the dropdown list. Just remember
you must do this for *each* filter you want to modify.
