Made a Mistake with Desktop

I was trying to set a picture I'd found on the Internet
as my background on the desktop. Accidentally, I
clicked, "SET AS DESKTOP ITEM" instead of "SET AS
BACKGROUND." As a result, I have a quarter of the picture
stuck on the bottom right hand corner of my
screen/desktop, and I don't know how to get it off. I've
tried changing wallpapers and backgrounds, but I can't
seem to delete the picture off the desktop. Can someone
please help?

I don't tend to set things as desktop items, so I'm a bit rusty...
Try:
1. Right clicking on the item itself. See if a menu comes up allowing
you to remove or delete it.
Or
2. Right click on a different part of the desktop. Go to Properties.
(yes, like you're going to change the wallpaper.) Go to Desktop. In
the lower left, there's "Customize desktop." Click there, in the
window that comes up, go to Web. You should see an item listed with a
checkmark. Remove the checkmark, or highlight and hit "Delete." That
should get rid of it.
And if all that doesn't help, do a quick System Restore to before you
Set As Desktop Item.
