I can record a macro in word 2003, But when I then attempt to run it, nothing
happens. (yes, security is set to low so there should be no problems there.)
HELP! thanks...

The macro recorder is not capable of doing all things.

What were you trying to do?

thanks for the reply. I wanted to do three things: 1) separate different
paragraphs by a separator line. 2) hightlight certain a certain font with a
color 3) highlight another particular font with another color.
I did all this using the 'replace' command. I can do a 'replace' alone. I
just can't seem to get the macro to record the sequence and hold it. (does
that make sense?).
I believe I was able to do this in word 2002. Though perhaps that is wishful
memory(???) lol

You might want to check into using character styles for your formatting of
these things. http://addbalance.com/usersguide/styles.htm
