Macros disabled

Does anyone know why (if two macros were created the same day for the same
document) one macro would be suddnely become disabled and the other wouldn't?
I have two macros and two shortcut keys assigned to them. They both worked
the day they were created. The first one is still working fine. On the second
one, I get a message that says it's disabled. I tried to assign a different
shortcut key but that didn't work. I changed the security setting for that
macro to "medium" and that didn't work. Any suggestions?

I suspect one was saved in your document and the other in normal.dot and you
have your macro security settings set to "High." (They should not be lower
than medium.)
