Macromedia flash Player

I go to sites that require Macromedia Flash player but my IE setup
eveidently doesn't have it installed as a plugin. My wife's computer works
fine on the same sites with IE. I tried to download the Flash Player and
install it from macromedia.com but it won't install in IE; just Netscape.
What is going on?

instructions on how to remove it safely

Then reinstall.

No not really,
What about repair IE.
Add/Remove applet MS/IE repair...

Also, uninstalled & reinstalled Flash player.
same problem can`t view with IE, since mid Oct 2003.

Followed any clue I could find and no luck.
netscape works fine, but not IE.
