Macro tutorial?

Here's a quote from the FP help file:

"The Visual Basic Editor is a program designed to make writing and editing
macro code easy to learn for beginners, and it provides plenty of Help. You
don't have to learn how to program or use the Visual Basic language to
create a macro."

As far as I can tell this is someone's fantasy (or perhaps a cruel joke),
and no one is going to be able to use the Visual Basic Editor to create even
a simple macro without first learning Visual Basic. Am I missing something?
I've spent a couple of hours fishing around in the help files for the VB
editor without learning, for example, how to create a macro that will create
a new file and automatically attach a dynamic web template. Is there a
"macros for dummies" capability built in somewhere? Is there a tutorial
somewhere for people who know a little about programming but don't happen to
know VB?

Hi,

That may be true under the other Office application where there is a
recorder available but not under FP.
