Macro: Close Doc, Open the "Open File" Box

Does anyone know how to write a macro that will bring me automatically to the "open file" dialog screen automatically when I close a word document? ie... now when a document is closed, Word goes to the blank word page, and I have to click the little "open file" icon to get the dialog box. Well, I'm always opening and closing documents, so I want to go directly to a list of files to click and open. I tried a maco that said Ctrl W (to close doc), Enter (to say yes to save) then Ctrl O to get the list of files to open in my folder, but the macro wasn't allowed.
