Elvis,

You can use a Third-Party Procduct called ADmitMac. ADmitMac allows
Macintosh users running Mac OS X 10.2.x, Jaguar, or Mac OS X 10.3, Panther,
to participate in Microsoft networks taking advantage of the directory
services provided by both Active Directory and NT Directory Services.

While it is true that you can gain some limited Active Directory integration
using the Active Directory plug-in that comes with Panther, ADmitMac has a
lot of advantages. These are listed on our web site:
http://www.admitmac.com/admitmac-vs-panther/index.shtml

For example:
You can use the home folder from a user's profile as their actual home
folder.
File storage is fully compatible with Microsoft's Services for Macintosh
(panther's isn't)
DFS
SMB Signing, NTLMv2 and Kerberos (even when panther uses Kerberos, it
sometimes sends an old LanMan v1 hash that is easy to crack) Also, panther
does not do mutual authentication when using Kerberos
support for .local domains (ask our tech support department) without
giving up your rendezvous support
no special DNS configuration required
fully encrypted LDAP connections (panther does not use encrypted or
signed LDAP connections)

Features are great to compare, but when you need help or don't have hours of
time available to make things work, you can call our support people. They
are Microsoft certified (MCSE). I don't know if you can get a Microsoft
certified help directly from Apple.
