Mac To PC .avi HELP!!!

ok so my friend uses imovie on his mac, and he burnt me some clips i desperately need to finish a video project, and when i put the cd in my PC, they have no file extention.
they just say "file" and the clips name

is there anyway to get them to work on my pc in any program or format?
