Hi all,

I have a usb wireless "card" called WU830C
and I would like to know if XP home keeps
the mac address anywhere on the computer?
It seems to work ok but I would like to
implement mac filtering. Are there any
downsides to this?

thanks.....

Hello,
you could try and see if your card is listed with MAC address when you go to
Start -> run -> cmd.exe -> ipconfig /all .

The 'getmac' command is useful. Detailed information and remote
machines can also be specified as parameters.

It is kept on the interface card.
