is lsass.exe an orignal windows file? cos on my pc its
running and on symnectec's website it says that a hacking
tool uses something called lsass.exe and im pretty
worried cos im on 11 and its a brand new pc!

lsass.exe is a very important system file that must be
running, or your computer will not work.

Mike;
lsass.exe = Local Security Authentication Server from WINLOGON.EXE
The Windows Local Security Authority Server Process Handles Windows Security
Mechanisms. It verifies the validity of user logons to your PC/Server.
Technically it generates the process that is responsible for authenticating
users for the Winlogon service. You can't end this process from Task Manager.
