I have that message about lsass.exe closing the computer down.
I run Kasperky Antivirus with the latest database - it found nothing.
I installed and run Spyhunter as recommended on some lsass-related web
resource - did not help.
How Do I get rid of it?

I regret I don't have any notes or better recollections, but I had a similar
problem on a client's machine and it was eventually "solved" by disabling a
service which was driving lsass.exe. That service was necessary for Remote
Assistance - about the only thing I now remember.

I tracked this down using Process Explorer from www.sysinternals.com - and
lots of trial and error. No virus or malware was ever found.

Thanks,
Looks like another Windows self-inflicted problem.

On one w2k Installation I have never had this, on another it happened as
soon as I connected to the Interner wia another provider. And somehow it
subsided by itself

But unfortunatelly, time a go, I was meet virus/spyware whis process
named Isass with uppercase "i" as first letter. In process manager look
very similar "Isass" and "lsass" so I think the "i"sass try to be bogus
"lsass".

It should be detected by antivirus anyway
