Hi, I have a huge problem, I sent my laptob back for repairs and left the XP
Pro disk in the drive, it wasn't there when it came back, I have spoken to
the company but they say that they do not have it.

I am not in a possition to buy another copy, is there anything I can do?

Quote from Jupitor Jones an MVP

"If Windows XP is retail contact Microsoft:

If Windows XP is OEM contact the seller, Microsoft may not be able to help
with OEM."

| Alcohol is the answer - I forget the question

Maybe if you give up the booze you not only could afford a new copy, you
might not be so *forgetful* with what you do with it.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

If you know someone who has the same laptop you can make a copy of their
installation CD. There is nothing unique about the CD except that it
has to match the COA type.

If it was a retail license and you have proof of purchase:

How to Replace Lost, Broken, or Missing Microsoft Software or Hardware
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;326246

If it was an OEM license, you should contact the computer's
manufacturer
