If it is retail and you have proof of purchase:

If it is OEM you'll have to consult the vendor.

Assuming that your Windows XP is retail and not OEM then:

explains how you can get a replacement.

If your Windows XP is OEM, then you need to obtain a replacement from your
OEM.

Hello
Unfortunately I have also lost my XP CD
It was OEM, but the OEM does not give me support
So I understand there´s no way of getting a replacement CD for me
But my parents also have an OEM CD, so would it be possible for me to (re)install XP from their CD
It´s obvious that neither of us has stolen the program, as both have a certificate of authencity
But would that cause trouble with the license agreement
And what if I burned their CD that I have one again
regards

Michael;
That would probably not work unless your original CD and their CD are
identical.

What type of OEM for each CD?

Thanks for your response
Well, I thought all the CDs were identical, but that can be wrong
The OEMs are the german companies "arlt.com" respectively "K&M Elektronik

Michael;
There are many different types and they are generally not
interchangeable.
This is especially true for OEM CDs.

The seller is the best place for replacement OEM CDs
