Lost XP CD, but still have serial key

Hi everyone. I bought Compaq presario. On my machine, I have the XP Serial Key of Windows XP Home Edition, but I lost the Recovery CD. Can I legally use any XP Home Edition to install into my computer and put in my serial key which is on the machine or I have to buy another Windows XP Home Edition....I would want to know the legal way. Please give me the legally idea for my situation...Thanks a lot.......
 
You have a Home OEM key it will work with any home OEM cd
fine the disks are the same. Have someone burn you a copy.

Legally yes, atually, depends it the CD will accept and OEM key.
