Lost works documents

I have lost all the microsoft works documents that were
on my computer, they are all still in the history
documents but none will open and the computer has deleted
all of the files. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO GET THEM BK
PLEASE HELP ME AS I HAD IMPORTANT COLLAGE WORK ON THERE!!
