Lost User Names

Hi,

My usernames on the Welcome screen have disappeared and I'm unable to log
in, tried starting in Safe Mode but no user names still on screen, appreciate
any help,

F8 while booting. Choose Last Known Good Configuration from the list.
May work, may not.

Thanks Alias but tried that along with everything else in "F8",
Also tried crl+alt+del twice but when password entered"the local plicy of
this system does not permit you to log in interactively" message pops
up...any ideas?
