Lost user account

I somehow deleted an administrator account and can no longer find it or the files. There is a folder with the name administrator.mom which I believe has the files but access is denied. Also, my Outllok files are also no where to be found. Don't know how it happened as no prompt re: deleting files came up

Pls help
 
Fire up Administrative Tools/ Computer Management and drill down to 'Local Users and Groups/Users' to see a list of all accounts that are still there. If it is there, then there is hope, but I would need to know more about the circumstances of deletion before I could give better advice.

Try to take ownership of the folder administrator.mom

For this to work you must boot in safe mode in Windows XP Home,
in XP Professional you need to go to Windows Explorer > Folder option
view tab and check 'disable file sharing.'
