Lost Sound

For some reason I do not have sound anymore. By all
indications, the computer says I do have sound. How can

Here is something to check that has happened to
me more than once. Open Control Panel and
choose "Sounds, Speech, Audio Devices". On
the left panel choose "Advanced Volume Cntrls".
If any of the "mute" boxes are checked you will
have no sound. Uncheck them if they are. Bob
