To All,
An ex-employee left and we don't know/lost the password for an Excel file he
created. According to MS, there's is no way to open the file if pw is lost.
Is it really no way to retrieve the file? If yes, how?

Thanks

Calvin

Norman and Paul,
Thanks for the information.

I've tried ExcelLocksmith_Demo, it wasn't working. It even didn't unlock two
chars for me like it claims. Will keep trying others.

THanks again!

PinkCrib, I think the demo's will only work on a file with a two char
password, it would not show you what two of yours were, you may also want to
take a look here, http://www.decryptum.com/ you can upload the file and
they say that "Decryption time is under 3 minutes, regardless of password
length", then for a fee you can download the unprotected file. Tried a demo
with a password of 12 numbers letters, cap and small case, , . ? ! and it
opened it in less than a minute!! Kind of scary, before I found this site I
thought a password to open a file with 12 characters was pretty safe.
