A user was having trouble with their printer so they disconnected their XP
Pro PC from our Small Biz Server 2003 network by changing to a workgroup in
the System properties control panel (they had admin rights until they did
this. my bad on that one.)

As a result, we now cannot log into the PC no matter what user we try or
password we attempt.

Is there any way to either recover the previous setup or get into the PC
from a command line so we can use this PC again?

Thanks,

You can not log onto the PC at all ?

Since you said it's XP Pro, if it's set to use the Welcome Screen, the
Admin logon is not usually available. You need to get to the standard
login box by doing 2 ctrl-alt-del's at the welcome screen.

There you can enter the built-in Administrator account.

As a last resort, you could try changing the Administrator password using
this utility: http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/

I've used it in several PC's and has always done the job.

Hi,

I recommend you trying Active@ Password Changer. It will be able to
solve your password problems by reseting it. The tool worked for me
before, and it proved itself really useful- it can reset lost or
forgotten pass really quickly and easily. That should definately help,
try it out.
