Lost password in Ms. Word

I have lost the password for an MS. Word file is there any way i can
open that file or at least recover the data inside that file??

Good luck. The amount of time it takes to crack a password depends
on the number of characters there are and how "strong" is the password
itself. It would have been better to have put the file away in a real
safe place instead of passwording it. OTOH, got access to a Cray?
