LOST OR STOLEN FILES

I THINK MY COMPUTER MAY HAVE BEEN HACKED INTO. YEAH, YEAH, I KNOW...I KNOW HAVE MY FIREWALL UP AND MY 'PUTER BACKED UP. ANYWAY TO RETRIEVE THE FILES / FOLDERS?

I can see why you were hacked (if you were an you didn't just delete the
files yourself..)

First - why do you think you were hacked?
Second - we have no way of knowing how the files were erased if you were
hacked.

didn't,now he wants his files that's gone BYE BYE.AHHHH
maybe check the recycle bin.If not you'll learn from your
mistakes.

hacked files there.My wife puts them there with the dirt
she don't want to pick up.Check there first.

TO A COMPUTER REPAIR TO GET IT OFF MY HARDDRIVE.HE SAID I
HAD SO MUCH PORN HE SHOULD CALL THE COPS,HE GOT THEM BACK
FOR ME AT A COST OF $400 AND A PROMISE NOT TO CALL THE
COPS.Ya get real!

Thank you for the information. I will try the suggestions. I apologize for the "ALL CAPS". The reason I feel I was hacked is because there were only three folders & a few specific files that are gone...all pertaining to my family. Again, Thank you and I will advise of results.

Forgive me if it seemed sarcastic and yes, you are right...I did screw up. The files weren't that important I guess. They were just some writings of my son that went bye-bye with Leukemia 2 years ago.
 
Not that smart. Besides, when I went in to start, all programs, accessories, system tools where I was directed for back-up it wasn't there. I have now backed it all up on CDs (for the time being). Thanks
 
Not that smart. When I went to start, all programs, accessories, system tools where I had been directed to back-up, mine's not there...unless I missed a step (and that wouldn't surprise me at all). All is backed up on CDs (for time being).
