Reinstalled WinXP SP2, apparently lost my Network Neighborhood in the
process. Where did it go and/or how can I get it back?

Dave,

When you install SP2, it installs Windows Firewall. You need to enable the File
and Printer Sharing exception, and give it a scope to include your subnet.

Then check for misconfigured / overlooked third party firewalls, and check
registry setting restrictanonymous.
Misconfigured / overlooked firewalls:

Registry setting restrictanonymous:

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, and we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely:

Please let us know if any of these suggestions are of any help. What you learn
may help others in the future, and that's the purpose of these forums.

XP has My Network Places, not Network Neighborhood.

To put My Network Places on the desktop:

1. Right-click a blank place on the desktop.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click Desktop.
4. Click Customize Desktop.
5. Put a check mark in the My Network Places box.

To put My Network Places in the Start menu:

1. Right-click the Start button.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click Customize.
4. Click Advanced.
5. Put a check mark in the My Network Places box.

Thank you Steve -
Once again to the rescue.
Much appreciated.

You're welcome, Dave. You can also get to My Network Places in My
Computer under "Other Places", or in Windows Explorer.
