I puled my paper of my hotmaikl account and I started typing in the download
file. I added about 4 pages to it and I thought I saved it but now I can't
find it. I shut the computer down at 10:00 PM so I know that I asved the
work because it wouldn't have let me shut down if I didn't save the file.
THis morning I tried retrieving it and I can't find it anywhere. I did the
search and search all my files and it is nowhere. Do you have any other
suggestions.?

Start retyping your paper...

You "pulled your paper off your hotmail account"?
What does that mean? Do you connect to hotmail via the Web Interface? Did
you save the paper someplace you knew where it was before you started
editing it or did you just click to open and start working? DDid you just
do a "SAVE" instead of a "SAVE AS" while working on it?

It *may* be in your Temporary Internet Files folder - but I am unsure.
If you open Word and click on File - it MAY show you the location and you
MAY be able to go there and get it.. But there is a lot of MAYs there.

From now on - when working oin something imprtant - make it a habit to
first:

- Save the file from your email to a location on your computer first - do
not edit directly from email.
- Save often during editing - power can go off, you know.
- When you are done - make multiple copies.. Send one to yourself via
email.. an extra 5 minutes can save you hours later.

It is saved to nowhere, all edits are gone. After you start typing next
time save to a real file.
