lost my file

I opened an existing document in Word. Worked on it all day. I had set my documents for automatic backup. The entire document, except for what I had early this morning disappeared. How can I find what I worked on all day?

Open a command prompt (Start > Run > cmd)
type cd\ (press enter)
then type dir *.wbk /s (press enter)

This should disclose the location of the Word backup files
